This time, the story of 15 year old Linda, recently diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma, a form of cancer that appears in the lymph nodes. While this has a successful cure rate of over 80% with traditional chemotherapy and radiation, this article shows how complementary care is still critical when people use conventional medicine.</p><p color=”#1a1a18″ style=”margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 8.5px Helvetica; “><br /></p> <p style=”margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 8.5px Helvetica; color: #1a1a18″>I met Linda in December last year, just after she had finished a series of chemotherapy treatment, and, while the tumors were shrinking she was really worn out. Chemotherapy does not only kill the cancer cells but also the healthy cells and has a serious effect on the body. She had lost weight, her hair had fallen out and she was pale, exhausted, and had stomach pains because of months of constipation. Her appetite was poor and she was drinking less than 1⁄2 litre of liquid a day. Her family was desperately searching for help to get her back on her feet again, and that brought them to Dr. Young. Examining her Live Blood under the microscope we could see the consequences of the chemotherapy: the blood cells were lumped together with very little movement and the cell membranes showed damage. There were a lot of waste products and disintegration of the cells in the plasma, and we could deduce that she had a weak constitution. She needed fuel to get her life back again. Linda is a very sweet girl and took to the treatment programme in a calm and patient way. When she first got sick she started making jewellery, and has been selling them to family and friends, calling the project Smiles for Linda. The income supports her treatment which is not free in the USA. As she lives only 10 minutes from the centre, she came in every morning at 8.00 and got picked up late afternoon. The most important thing at the beginning was to rehydrate and to get the hemoglobin count up again. Dr. Young has a great manner with children and while the situation was serious he managed to make her smile a lot and even promised a trip to Disneyland if she met her targets for drinking her greens, soups and eating salads. Soon she was up to 2 litres of liquids per day, and started getting better, with more energy and more smiles. She did very well in exercises, although slowly as she hadn’t moved much for a long time. She learned to really relax during the massage, and the colonic hydrotherapy not only helped to get rid of a huge amount of accumulated garbage, it also helped her to hydrate and balance the minerals in her body. She followed the programme diligently, enjoying the infrared sauna to sweat the toxins out, a place she enjoyed it so much that she sometimes wanted extra time in there, bearing in mind that she came from a large family of ten children and so time on her own was rare. She quickly earned her trip to Disneyland which was a fantastic day out.</p><p style=”margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 8.5px Helvetica; color: #1a1a18″><br /></p> <p style=”margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 8.5px Helvetica; color: #1a1a18″>Linda’s spirits kept improving and this gave her the incentive to continue the program. Her haemoglobin count slowly increased and her Live and Dry Blood analysis showed improvements. Over Christmas she was allowed to eat whatever she liked, but she had got a taste for the green food, it was as if her body craved good and healthy food. When I wrote this Linda had been on the program for 11⁄2 months, had started to do school work again and slowly to act like a “normal” teenager.</p><p style=”margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 8.5px Helvetica; color: #1a1a18″>.</p> <p style=”margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 8.5px Helvetica; color: #1a1a18″>Shortly after I returned to Europe the family faced another difficult decision. The oncologist recommended that Linda follow a course of radiation. As the tumor was in the middle of the chest the radiation would not only hit the tumor but also the heart, thyroid, lungs, and risk some possible side effects for the breast, thyroid, heart and skin damage. It was a big decision for someone so young, but the priority of course, was getting Linda healthy, and they chose to do the radiation. On a recent follow up call Linda had finished the radiation and just turned 16. She go<span class=”Apple-style-span” style=”font-size: 8.33333px; “>t the best birthday present when she was told that she was in remission. To keep getting better, healthier and stronger she is still coming to the pH Miracle centre every day to get her treatments and food. She has been invited to sell her jewellery at a market and was out doing that the other day. It has been a pleasure knowing Linda, she is a true fighter and to follow her road to recovery is very touching. It proves that when you have spirit, get good support and go for it – you can achieve many things, get a grip on life again – and even miracles happen.</span></p><p style=”margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 8.0px Helvetica; color:#1a1a18;”><br /></p><p color=”#1a1a18″ style=”margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 8.0px Helvetica; “>by Pernille Knudtzon, MD</p> <p style=”margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 9.0px Helvetica; color: #1a1a18″><br /></p><p style=”margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 9.0px Helvetica; color: #1a1a18″><br /></p><p style=”margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 9.0px Helvetica; color: #1a1a18″><img style=”float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 250px;” src=”http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-6YOg8_yx8D8/T4BSKDq1KhI/AAAAAAAABAk/c34rLf7Iwaw/s320/greenshake.png” border=”0″ alt=”" id=”BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5728669058752391698″ /></p><p style=”margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 9.0px Helvetica; color: #1a1a18″><br /></p><p style=”margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 9.0px Helvetica; color: #1a1a18″><br /></p><p style=”margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 9.0px Helvetica; color: #1a1a18″>Dr. Pernille Knudtzon, MD, GP Tel 678253519 drpernilleknu<span class=”Apple-style-span” style=”font-size: 6.25px; “>dtzon@gmail.com</span></p> <p style=”margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 9.0px Helvetica; color: #1a1a18″><br /></p><p style=”margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 9.0px Helvetica; color: #1a1a18″>Live and Dry Blood Examination Personal Health Profile Health Retreats Acupuncture</p> <p style=”margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 9.0px Helvetica; color: #1a1a18″>Lectures Consultaions in the clinic by appointment</p> <p color=”#1a1a18″ style=”margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 8.0px Times; “><br /></p> <p style=”margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 9.9px Helvetica; color: #1a1a18″>Acupuncture and Health Clinic Vitafakta</p> <p color=”#1a1a18″ style=”margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 8.0px Helvetica; “><span style=”font: 8.0px Helvetica”>Usando la mejor medicina occidental comprobada, complementada por la medicina tradicional oriental como la acupunctura, la Dra. I was asking, and quite politely I thought, why she didn’t consider Thermography a safer tool to screen for breast cancer than radiating the body with mammogram X-rays.</span></div><div><span style=”font-size:100%;”></span> </div><div><span style=”font-size:100%;”>You would have thought I killed her first-born…and maybe that was her fear. Taking away her livelihood and her favorite tool.</span></div><div><span style=”font-size:100%;”></span> </div><div><span style=”font-size:100%;”>We have known for over a decade that Mammograms do NOT save lives. Now in the past couple of years researchers have finally come to recognize that mammograms can cause cancer with their cumulative ionizing radiation.</span></div><div><span style=”font-size:100%;”>So, what’s a girl to do? Why are we still getting our breasts smashed and irradiated with cancer causing X-rays? Good question.</span></div><div><span style=”font-size:100%;”></span> </div><div><span style=”font-size:100%;”>My advice? Find a good Thermography practitioner and get periodic testing. Even if you have to fly to LA to do it!</span></div><div><span style=”font-size:100%;”></span> </div><div><span style=”font-size:100%;”>I’m serious.</span></div><div><span style=”font-size:100%;”></span> </div><div><span style=”font-size:100%;”>While in LA last month I visited with my friend, Dr. Galina Migalko, a medical doctor who is skilled in Medical Thermography and Diagnostic Ultrasonography. Dr. Galina operates from her center </span><a target=”_blank” href=”http://www.universalmedicalimaging.com/thermography.html” style=”color: blue; text-decoration: underline; cursor: pointer; “><span style=”font-size:100%;”><strong>Universal Medical Imaging Group</strong></span></a><span style=”font-size:100%;”> in Los Angeles, CA and the pH Miracle Living Center in Valley Center, California.</span></div><div><span style=”font-size:100%;”></span> </div><div><span style=”font-size:100%;”>Thermography is a painless, non invasive, adjunctive state of the art clinical test without any exposure to radiation and is used as part of an early detection program which gives women of all ages the opportunity to increase their chances of detecting breast disease at an early stage.</span></div><div><span style=”font-size:100%;”></span> </div><div><span style=”font-size:100%;”>One of the reasons Mammography doesn’t save lives is that it is too late when it detects tumors. But Thermography may detect breast cancer years earlier than Mammography. Dr. Galina does much more than breast Thermography. Looking through her computerized full body Thermography scans I was amazed at what could be discerned about a patient’s health.</span></div><div><span style=”font-size:100%;”></span> </div><div><span style=”font-size:100%;”>Instead of chopping up the body into individual parts and doing testing, Dr.Galina prefers to get a full picture of the body and put all the pieces together to create an overall diagnosis. If she finds something on Thermography, she can immediately use Ultrasound to learn more if needed. This is far superior to having to wait and worry for weeks to do follow up testing on something that may have shifted in the meantime.</span></div><div><span style=”font-size:100%;”></span> </div><div><span style=”font-size:100%;”>Diagnostic Medical Thermography and Ultrasound are complimentary tests. When using these two diagnostic tests together the diagnostic sensitivity goes up to over 95%.</span></div><div><span style=”font-size:100%;”></span> </div><div><span style=”font-size:100%;”>And how much more sane than the latest “fad” of doing full body CT Scans with radiation doses equivalent to hundreds of chest X-rays. Thermography is unique in that it shows physiology or “what’s happening” in the tissues as opposed to CT’s, MRI’s and other static pictures of simple anatomy. It is the only imaging test that can show pain, inflammation, lymphatic congestion, and more.</span></div><div><span style=”font-size:100%;”></span> </div><div><span style=”font-size:100%;”>This testing is not just for women! Thermography can detect early signs of arthritis, neck and back pain, dental infections, headaches and sinus infections, immune dysfunction, fibromyalgia, carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS), digestive disorders, bursitis, ligament or muscle tears, nerve problems, as well as screen for strokes and detect cancer in the very early stages.</span></div><div><span style=”font-size:100%;”></span> </div><div><span style=”font-size:100%;”>Dr. Galina Migalko is also a trained and experienced Naturopath who can offer a treatment program based on your results so that preclinical conditions detected long before they become pathologic can be eliminated.</span></div><div><span style=”font-size:100%;”></span> </div><div><span style=”font-size:100%;”>So, I suggest that when you bring your kids to Disneyland, stop by and consult with Dr. Galina and stay “the picture of health.” For more information please go to the </span><a target=”_blank” href=”http://www.universalmedicalimaging.com/thermography.html” style=”color: blue; text-decoration: underline; cursor: pointer; “><span style=”font-size:100%;”><strong>Universal Medical Imaging Group</strong></span></a><span style=”font-size:100%;”> website or to the pH Miracle website at: www.phmiracle.com</span></div><div><span style=”font-size:100%;”></span> </div><div><a target=”_blank” href=”http://drcarolyndean.com/” style=”color: blue; text-decoration: underline; cursor: pointer; “><img border=”0″ alt=”Dr. Carolyn Dean, The Doctor of the Future” src=”http://drcarolyndean.com/images/signatures/dr-carolyn-dean-signature-2.PNG” href=”http://www.organizedwisdom.com/Carolyn-Dean-MD-ND/holeopharm/library/pxna/med” style=”text-decoration: none; ” /></a> </div></span><div class=”blogger-post-footer”>Are you part of our healthy alkaline community? So, here it is. I freely admit to being wrong.. As a heart surgeon with 25 years experience, having performed over 5,000 open-heart surgeries, today is my day to right the wrong with medical and scientific fact.<br /><br /><img src=”http://preventdisease.com/images/Dwight_Lundell1.jpg” width=”424″ height=”380″ longdesc=”http://preventdisease.com/images/Dwight_Lundell.jpg” style=”margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; border-top-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-top-style: none; border-right-style: none; border-bottom-style: none; border-left-style: none; border-color: initial; ” /><br /><br /><p style=”margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-bottom: 10px; padding-left: 0px; “>I trained for many years with other prominent physicians labelled “opinion makers.” Bombarded with scientific literature, continually attending education seminars, we opinion makers insisted heart disease resulted from the simple fact of elevated blood cholesterol.<br /><br />The only accepted therapy was prescribing medications to lower cholesterol and a diet that severely restricted fat intake. The latter of course we insisted would lower cholesterol and heart disease. Deviations from these recommendations were considered heresy and could quite possibly result in malpractice.<br /><strong style=”margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 12px; “><br />It Is Not Working!</strong><br /><br />These recommendations are no longer scientifically or morally defensible. These disorders are affecting younger and younger people in greater numbers every year.<br /><br />Simply stated, without inflammation being present in the body, there is no way that cholesterol would accumulate in the wall of the blood vessel and cause heart disease and strokes. Without inflammation, cholesterol would move freely throughout the body as nature intended. It is inflammation that causes cholesterol to become trapped.<br /><br />Inflammation is not complicated — it is quite simply your body’s natural defence to a foreign invader such as a bacteria, toxin or virus. The cycle of inflammation is perfect in how it protects your body from these bacterial and viral invaders. However, if we <strong style=”margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 12px; “>chronically expose the body to injury by toxins or foods the human body was never designed to process,a condition occurs called chronic inflammation.</strong> Chronic inflammation is just as harmful as acute inflammation is beneficial.<br /><br />What thoughtful person would willfully expose himself repeatedly to foods or other substances that are known to cause injury to the body? Well, smokers perhaps, but at least they made that choice willfully.<br /><br />The rest of us have simply followed the recommended mainstream dietthat is low in fat and high in polyunsaturated fats and carbohydrates, not knowing we were causing repeated injury to our blood vessels. Quite simply, they are the overload of simple, highly processed carbohydrates (<strong style=”margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 12px; “>sugar, flour</strong>and all the products made from them) and the excess consumption of omega-6 <strong style=”margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 12px; “>vegetable oils like soybean, corn and sunflower</strong> that are found in many processed foods.<br /><br />Take a moment to visualize rubbing a stiff brush repeatedly over soft skin until it becomes quite red and nearly bleeding. you kept this up several times a day, every day for five years. If you could tolerate this painful brushing, you would have a bleeding, swollen infected area that became worse with each repeated injury. This is a good way to visualize the inflammatory process that could be going on in your body right now.<br /><br />Regardless of where the inflammatory process occurs, externally or internally, it is the same. I have peered inside thousands upon thousands of arteries. A diseased artery looks as if someone took a brush and scrubbed repeatedly against its wall. Several times a day, every day, the foods we eat create small injuries compounding into more injuries, causing the body to respond continuously and appropriately with inflammation.<br /><br />While we savor the tantalizing taste of a sweet roll, our bodies respond alarmingly as if a foreign invader arrived declaring war. <strong style=”margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 12px; “>Foods loaded with sugars and simple carbohydrates, or processed withomega-6 oils for long shelf life </strong>have been the mainstay of the American diet for six decades. These foods have been <strong style=”margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 12px; “>slowly poisoning ever</strong>yone.<br /><br />How does eating a simple sweet roll create a cascade of inflammation to make you sick?<br /><br />Imagine spilling syrup on your keyboard and you have a visual of what occurs inside the cell. When we consume simple carbohydrates such as sugar, blood sugar rises rapidly. In response, your pancreas secretes insulin whose primary purpose is to drive sugar into each cell where it is stored for energy. If the cell is full and does not need glucose, it is rejected to avoid extra sugar gumming up the works.<strong style=”margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 12px; “><br /><br />When your full cells reject the extra glucose, blood sugar rises producing more insulin and the glucose converts to stored fat.</strong><br /><br />What does all this have to do with inflammation? Blood sugar is controlled in a very narrow range. Extra sugar molecules attach to a variety of proteins that in turn injure the blood vessel wall. This repeated injury to the blood vessel wall sets off inflammation. When you spike your blood sugar level several times a day, every day, it is exactly like taking sandpaper to the inside of your delicate blood vessels.<br /><br />While you may not be able to see it, rest assured it is there. I saw it in over 5,000 surgical patients spanning 25 years who all shared one common denominator — inflammation in their arteries.<br /><br />Let’s get back to the sweet roll. That innocent looking goody not only contains sugars, it is baked in one of many omega-6 oils such as soybean. Chips and fries are soaked in soybean oil; processed foods are manufactured with omega-6 oils for longer shelf life. While omega-6’s are essential -they are part of every cell membrane controlling what goes in and out of the cell — <strong style=”margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 12px; “>they must be in the correct balance with omega-3’s.</strong><br /><br />If the balance shifts by consuming excessive omega-6, the cell membrane produces chemicals called <strong style=”margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 12px; “>cytokines </strong>that directly cause inflammation. <br /><br />Today’s mainstream American diet has produced an extreme imbalance of these two fats. The ratio of imbalance ranges from 15:1 to as high as 30:1 in favor of omega-6. That’s a tremendous amount of cytokines causing inflammation. In today’s food environment, a 3:1 ratio would be optimal and healthy.<br /><br />To make matters worse, the excess weight you are carrying from eating these foods creates overloaded fat cells that pour out large quantities of pro-inflammatory chemicals that add to the injury caused by having high blood sugar. The process that began with a sweet roll turns into a vicious cycle over time that creates <strong style=”margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 12px; “>heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes</strong>and finally,<strong style=”margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 12px; “> Alzheimer’s disease</strong>, as the inflammatory process continues unabated.<br /><strong style=”margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 12px; “><br />There is no escaping the fact that the more we consume prepared and processed foods, the more we trip the inflammation switch little by little each day. The human body cannot process, nor was it designed to consume, foods packed with sugars and soaked in omega-6 oils.</strong><br /><br />There is but one answer to quieting inflammation, and that is returning to foods closer to their natural state. To build muscle, eat more protein. Choose carbohydrates that are very complex such as <strong style=”margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 12px; “>colorful fruits and vegetables.</strong> Cut down on or eliminate inflammation- causing omega-6 fats like corn and soybean oil and the processed foods that are made from them. <br /><br />One tablespoon of corn oil contains 7,280 mg of omega-6; soybean contains 6,940 mg. Instead, use <strong style=”margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 12px; “>olive oil or butter</strong> from grass-fed beef. <strong style=”margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 12px; “><br /><br />Animal fats </strong>contain less than 20% omega-6 and are much less likely to cause inflammation than the supposedly healthy oils labelled polyunsaturated. Forget the “science” that has been drummed into your head for decades. The science that saturated fat alone causes heart disease is non-existent. The science that saturated fat raises blood cholesterol is also very weak. Since we now know that cholesterol is not the cause of heart disease, the concern about saturated fat is even more absurd today.<br /><br />The cholesterol theory led to the no-fat, low-fat recommendations that in turn created the very foods now causing an epidemic of inflammation. Mainstream medicine made a terrible mistake when it advised people to avoid saturated fat in favor of foods high in omega-6 fats. We now have an epidemic of arterial inflammation leading to heart disease and other silent killers.<br /><br />What you can do is choose <strong style=”margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 12px; “>whole foods</strong> your grandmother served and not those your mom turned to as grocery store aisles filled with manufactured foods. By eliminating inflammatory foods and adding essential nutrients from <strong style=”margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 12px; “>fresh unprocessed food</strong>, you will reverse years of damage in your arteries and throughout your body from consuming the typical American diet.<br /><br /><strong style=”margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 12px; “><em style=”margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; “>Dr. Dwight Lundell</em></strong><em style=”margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; padding-top: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 0px; “> is the past Chief of Staff and Chief of Surgery at Banner Heart Hospital , Mesa , AZ. Like a manual on how to take care of your car. People take better care of their cars then their bodies. Why? Because there is NO true health and wellness education just sickness and disease education. And who is doing the educating on keeping us sick, tired and fat? The ‘Big Pharma’ and ‘Big Money’.</div><div><br /></div><div>Once again, people NEED education NOT medication. We do NOT need another so-called wonder drug. There is NO SUCH THING. Each us needs to understand that the cure for ALL sickness and disease will be found in prevention NOT treatment.</div><div><br /></div><div>I believe we need to understand that doctors prescribed drugs of which they know little, for the human or animal body of which they know less, for diseases for which they know NOTHING at all!</div><div><br /></div><div>The education to prevent ALL sickness and disease is found in The pH Miracle Revised and Updated book, published 2010, Hachett Publishing/Grand Central Publishing. That is where is all begins.</div><div><br /></div><div>Remember: Your ‘dis-ease’ is a symptom of something very fundamental happening within you.</div><div><br /></div><div>Drugs deal with the short-term effect, the surface cause of your discomfort, the symtom.</div><div><br /></div><div>Make no mistake, the real source of the health challenge or dis-ease is the way you live your life.</div><div><br /></div><div>It is a sad fact, but 99% of people in the world are completely asleep.</div><div><br /></div><div>Ignorant. Oblivious to what is really going on with their body and how to keep it healthy.</div><div><br /></div><div>Have you seen the movie “The Matrix”? Millions of human beings that THINK they are experiencing reality, when in fact are living an illusion whilst locked up, ‘harvested’, and ‘explioted’.</div><div><br /></div><div>So, I am about to give you the red pill, blue pill choice.</div><div><br /></div><div>”This is your last chance. After this there is no turning back. If you take the blue pill, the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. If you take the red pill, you stay in Wonderland and I’ll show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.” - Morpheus, in ‘The Matrix’</div><div><br /></div><div>Conventional medicine (also known as Orthodox or Allopathic medicine) utilizes poisonous substances (drugs) in non-lethal dosages in order to suppress symptoms. This approach neither addresses the cause of the disease condition, nor is it responsible for healing the patient. Rather, the use of pharmacuetical drugs will temporaily mask the manifestations of the so-called disease, while at the same time, drive the disease deeper into the body . . . only to reappear at a later date, as a more serious, and chronic health threat.</div><div><br /></div><div>Do not assume that the only difference between Allopathic and Alternative medicine, however, is an honest difference of option in the philosophies on the origin of disease states. Hardly! There is, in truth, a concerted agenda organized by the international pharmaceutical companies to suppress any and every alternative, non-drug therapy that WORKS!</div><div><br /></div><div>WHY?</div><div><br /></div><div>Because they want people to keep on coming back for more treatments and more drugs.</div><div><br /></div><div>A cured patient is a lost source of income (cures KILL profits!) A sick patient who is marginally ‘improved’ is a manageable patient.</div><div><br /></div><div>Managing patients means routine office visits and renewing of drup prescriptions.</div><div><br /></div><div>Therefore, a manageable patient is a continuing source of income, a cash cow if you will. Multiply that by a few hundred million people and you get an idea why this deceit is being put upon you. The profits from ths s0-called ‘health-care’, ’sick-care” industry are staggering!</div><div><br /></div><div>The thrust of the orthodox pharmaceutical agenda is to provide temporary relief, while never addressing the cause of the disease. This agenda insures regular visits to the doctor’s office and requires the patient to routinely return to the pharmacy to refill his/her prescriptions.</div><div><br /></div><div>This is what the game is all about folks, plain and simple.</div><div><br /></div><div>There are a number of alternative approaches, like the pH Miracle Lifestyle and Diet as outlined in The pH Miracle book, that flat out works so well and costs so little (compared to conventional treatment), that The Medical Industry, the Food and Drup Administration, and the Pharmaceutical Industry, (The Big Three) are fighting tooth and nail to keep this life-changing, life saving lifestyle and diet suppressed. The reason is obvious. The pH Miracle Lifestyle and Diet is non-toxic and represents a potential loss of billions of dollars to the medical and drug companies. </div><div><br /></div><div>”The individual is handicapped by coming face to face with a conspriacy so monstrous he cannot believe it exists.” - J. Edgar Hoover, FBI Director</div><div><br /></div><div>Through continuous marketing and advertising the public has been brainwashed into equating MEDICAL CARE with HEALTH CARE, where in fact exactly the opposite applies: modern medicine has become the principal cause of disease today! (Hans Ruesch)</div><div><br /></div><div>Once again, so-called ‘health care’ is in reality ’sickness care’.</div><div><br /></div><div>What a person really needs is education NOT more medication - True ‘health care’ NOT ’sickness care’.</div><div><br /></div><div>The education to prevent ALL sickness and disease is found in The pH Miracle Revised and Updated book, published 2010, Hachett Publishing. Millions of people die every year and tens of millions suffer needlessly because they fail to follow the natural laws of their beings and are being treated with obsolete and unnatural methods that avoid the true cause of all sickness and dis-ease. </div><div><br /></div><div>Though the causes of dis-ease are generally ignored by conventional medicine, we do have a history of doctors who agree that the primary causes are always associated with acidic e-motions, toxicity, congestion, and malnutrition. These conditions gradually alter and weaken our internal environment. Once that environment reaches certain acidic polluted levels, dis-ease cycles are initiated.</div><div><br /></div><div>”Acidosis and Toxicosis are the primary causes of all disease. Rid the body of these poisons and correct the habits of living, and good health will be regained and maintained” and, “just as maggots and flies require the filth of the manure pile in which they grow and propagate, so the human organism must become broken down and filthy through bad habits of living before the tissues and juices of the body will permit the harboring and growth of any noxious bacteria.” </div><div><br /></div><div>”However, in view of the scientific researches which have been cast aside by medicine it is just as reasonable to assume that the maggots and flies found in a manure pile caused the manure pile as it is to assume that the various kinds of germs found in a thoroughly filthy body, caused the condition of ill health.”</div><div>—P.L. Clark, BS, MD, Ph.Sa </div><div><br /></div><div>The survival of every animal, bird, fish, plant, and cell, whether it is bacteria, yeast, or protozoa, depends entirely upon its environment. </div><div><br /></div><div>Dis-ease is never acquired; it is always created. Dis-ease is a natural result obtained from an unnatural lifestyle. Dis-ease is not a question of exposure. It is an internal development that can lead to exposure susceptibility. The entry of an outside entity (bacteria, yeast, parasite) has little effect upon our bodies unless our internal environment has become acidic, polluted, and congested. </div><div><br /></div><div>An increase in microforms or germs can only be successful when our bodies have degenerated into a severely acidic and polluted environment and our immune system compromised. Indeed, an acidic environment can only cause the breakdown of the human cell and tissue in an acidic host, and germs are the product of the breakdown of that cell and tissue. The breakdown of the human cell and the birth of the germ does not happen in a clean, healthy, and vibrant human body. We must alter our normal healthy internal chemistry before acids can weaken our organs and glands with toxicity, congestion, or poor nutrition and before our body parts can malfunction. </div><div><br /></div><div>The most important point to understand here is that germs do not cause dis-ease they are the product of cellular transformation. It is acid that breaks down the human cell not bacteria. It is acid that causes dis-ease not bacteria or yeast. </div><div><br /></div><div>There is only one sickness, one dis-ease and one cause - the over-acidification of the blood and then tissues due to an inverted way of living, eating and thinking. There is NO OTHER CAUSE FOR DISEASE but ACIDITY. </div><div><br /></div><div>A Great Secret of Health</div><div><br /></div><div>The intestinal tract or better said the alkaline buffering system is the hub of our entire body - all organs, glands, even our brains, heart, and cells are totally dependent upon a good functioning alkaline buffering or digestive system. In the Western World, most people have polluted their bowels with filth unimaginable and weakened their digestive function. When the alkaline buffering or digestion is off, even good food can become acidic. As long as this filth remains within, our bodies grow weaker and we become more and more prone towards deficiencies and acidic dis-ease. </div><div><br /></div><div>A few great doctors have realized this: </div><div><br /></div><div>”In the 50 years I’ve spent helping people to overcome illness, disability and disease, it has become crystal clear that poor bowel management lies at the root of most people’s health problems.” </div><div><br /></div><div>”Every tissue is fed by the blood, which is supplied by the bowel. When the bowel is dirty, the blood is dirty, and so on to the organs and tissues…. it is the bowel that invariably has to be cared for before any effective healing can take place.” </div><div><br /></div><div>”Of the 300 autopsies performed at National College in Chicago, 285 (patients) had claimed they were not constipated and had normal movements and only 15 had admitted they were constipated. However, autopsies revealed the opposite to be the case. Some of the histories of these 285 persons stated they had had as many as 5 or 6 bowel movements daily, yet autopsies revealed that in some of them the bowel was 12 inches in diameter. The bowel walls were encrusted with material, in one case peanuts which had been lodged there for a very long time.”</div><div><br /></div><div>”The toxic waste must be removed as quickly as possible to halt the downward spiral of failing health. This is best done by: 1. Removing accumulated fecal material from the bowel.”</div><div>—Doctor Bernard Jensen, DC, ND, Ph.D. </div><div><br /></div><div>Dr. Jensen publicly stated that over 90% of dis-ease in America could be traced to unhealthy conditions in the bowel. Privately, he told me that it’s closer to 100%.</div><div><br /></div><div>”There is but one dis-ease and that is deficient drainage of dietary and metabolic acids.”</div><div>—Dr. Robert O. Young </div><div><br /></div><div>”I am exceedingly impressed by the sequence of cancer and intestinal stasis.” </div><div><br /></div><div>”The poisons thus generated (in the bowel) pollute the bloodstream, causing every tissue, gland, and organ of the body to gradually deteriorate and be destroyed.” </div><div>—Sir Arbuthnot Lane MS, FRCS, surgeon for the King of England </div><div><br /></div><div>”Of the 22,000 operations that I have personally performed, I have never found a single normal colon, and of the 100,000 that were performed under my jurisdiction, not over 6% were normal.” </div><div><br /></div><div>”All of the diseases of civilization are due to improper functioning of the colon.”</div><div>—Dr. Harvey Kellogg, M.D. of the Kellogg Sanitarium </div><div><br /></div><div>”There is no natural death. All deaths that come from so-called natural causes are merely the end point of progressive acidic saturation…. However, if they would take care of their body and cleanse their colon and intestines, their problems would be pretty much eliminated and they could eliminate their “cross” by proper diet, proper exercise, and in general, proper living.” Dr. George C. George C. In addition to increasing the odds people will get sick, red meat—whether it is processed or not—can actually increase the risk of premature death overall, according to a study that was published online March 12 in </span><i><span style=”font-size:10.0pt; font-family:Arial;mso-fareast-font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;;mso-bidi-font-family: Arial”>Archives of Internal Medicine</span></i><span style=”font-size:10.0pt; font-family:Arial;mso-fareast-font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;;mso-bidi-font-family: Arial”>.<o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class=”MsoNormal” style=”line-height:11.2pt;vertical-align:baseline”><span style=”font-size:6.5pt;font-family:Arial;mso-fareast-font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;; mso-bidi-font-family:Arial;color:#222222″>Steak image courtesy of iStockphoto/Kativ<o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class=”MsoNormal” style=”margin-bottom:11.7pt;line-height:11.2pt;vertical-align: baseline”><span class=”Apple-style-span” style=”font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px; color: rgb(34, 34, 34); “>Researchers, led by An Pan of the Harvard School of Public Health, analyzed health and diet information from more than 121,000 U.S. men and women participating in two long-term health studies. After adjusting for other factors, the researchers found each daily serving of red meat (beef, pork, lamb or a processed meat, such as bacon, bologna, hot dog, salami or sausage), increased the risk of a premature death by about 12 percent. Processed meat consumption in particular increased these odds even more than did unprocessed meats. And hot dogs and bacon seemed to be the most likely to lead to an early death.<o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class=”MsoNormal” style=”margin-bottom:11.7pt;line-height:11.2pt;vertical-align: baseline”><span style=”font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial;mso-fareast-font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;;mso-bidi-font-family:Arial;color:#222222″>If everyone in the study had limited themselves to 42 grams or less of red meat a day (considered to be about half a standard serving), more than 9,860 early diet-related deaths could have been prevented in the study alone, the researchers estimated.<o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class=”MsoNormal” style=”margin-bottom:11.7pt;line-height:11.2pt;vertical-align: baseline”><span style=”font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial;mso-fareast-font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;;mso-bidi-font-family:Arial;color:#222222″>So if that lamb and ham are off the table, along with all the all-too familiar beef, many people worry that they might not get enough protein with each meal. Fear not, say many health experts, there are plenty of other ways to put protein on your plate that don’t come with such high risks of chronic diseases. Chicken breasts actually have more grams of protein by weight than a piece of beef, and fish isn’t too far behind. This condition of the blood leads to light headedness,<br />cold hands, cold feet, forgetfulness, muddle thinking or<br />brain fog, stroke, heart attack, tumor formation and<br />internal bleeding, just to name a few<br /><br />I have been studying the acid/alkaline conditions of the<br />blood for over twenty-five years and have determined<br />that all sickness and dis-ease or body warming is caused<br />by the over-acidification of the blood and tissues.<br /><br />Scientists have been studying the acid/alkaline<br />conditions at the bottom of the Mediterranean Sea.<br /><br />Natural carbon dioxide vents on the sea floor are<br />showing scientists how carbon emissions will affect<br />marine life.<br /><br />Dissolved CO2 makes water more acidic, and around<br />the vents, researchers saw a fall in species numbers,<br />and snails with their shells disintegrating because of<br />the increase of acid C02.<br /><br />Writing in the journal Nature, the UK scientists<br />suggest these impacts are likely to be seen across<br />the world as CO2 levels rise in the atmosphere.<br /><br />Some of the extra CO2 emitted enters the oceans,<br />acidifying waters globally.<br /><br />The only way of reducing the impact of ocean<br />acidification is the urgent reduction in CO2<br />emissions.<br /><br />”These same principals of acidification of the<br />ocean also apply to the acidification of our<br />body and the causative reason for the increase<br />in cancer, heart disease, diabetes and all other<br />degenerative diseases,” states Dr. Robert O. Young,<br />a research scientist at the pH Miracle Living Center.<br /><br />”Studies have shown that the seas have become more<br />acidic since the industrial revolution,” states<br />Carol Turley. of the Plymouth Marine Laboratory.<br /><br />Research leader Jason Hall-Spencer from the University<br />of Plymouth said that atmospheric CO2 concentrations<br />were now so high that even a sharp fall in emissions<br />would not prevent some further acidification of the<br />ocean.<br /><br />”It’s clear that marine food webs as we know them are<br />going to alter, and biodiversity will decrease,” he<br />told BBC News.<br /><br />”Those impacts are inevitable because acidification is<br />inevitable - we’ve started it, and we can’t stop it.”<br /><br />Corals construct their external skeletons by extracting<br />dissolved calcium carbonate from seawater and using it<br />to form two minerals, calcite and aragonite. Molluscs<br />use the same process to make their shells.<br /><br />As water becomes more acidic, the concentration of<br />calcium carbonate falls. Eventually there is so<br />little that shells or skeletons cannot form.<br /><br />The oceans are thought to have absorbed about half<br />of the extra CO2 put into the atmosphere in the<br />industrial age. This has lowered its pH by 0.1<br />pH is the measure of acidity and alkalinity.<br /><br />The vast majority of liquids lie between pH 0<br />(highly acidic) and pH 14 (highly alkaline); 7<br />is the midpoint of the pH scale. Seawater is<br />mildly alkaline with a “natural” pH of about<br />8.2.<br /><br />The IPCC forecasts that ocean pH will fall by<br />”between 0.14 and 0.35 units over the 21st Century,<br />adding to the present decrease of 0.1 units since<br />pre-industrial times.”<br /><br />Around the vents which Dr Hall-Spencer’s team<br />investigated, in the Mediterranean Sea near the<br />Italian coast, CO2 bubbling into the water forms<br />a sort of natural laboratory for studying the<br />impacts of acidified water on marine life.<br /><br />Globally, the seas now have an average pH of about<br />8.1 - down about 0.1 since the dawn of the<br />industrial age.<br /><br />Around the vents, it fell as low as 7.4 in some places.<br />But even at 7.8 to 7.9, the number of species present<br />was 30% down compared with neighboring areas.<br /><br />Coral was absent, and species of algae that use<br />calcium carbonate were displaced in favour of<br />species that do not use it.<br /><br />Snails were seen with their shells dissolving.<br />There were no snails at all in zones with a<br />pH of 7.4.<br /><br />Meanwhile, sea grasses thrived, perhaps because<br />they benefit from the extra carbon in the water.<br /><br />These observations confirm that some of the<br />processes seen in laboratory experiments and<br />some of the predictions made by computer models<br />of ocean ecosystems do also happen in the real world.<br /><br />”I can’t count the number of times that scientific<br />talks end with ‘responses have not yet been<br />documented in the field’,” said Elliott Norse,<br />president of the Marine Conservation Biology<br />Institute (MCBI).<br /><br />”This paper puts that to rest for several<br />ecologically important marine groups.”<br /><br />The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)<br />suggests that without measures to restrain carbon<br />dioxide emissions, ocean pH is likely to fall to about<br />7.8 by 2100.<br /><br />This suggests that some of the impacts seen<br />around the Mediterranean vents might be widespread.<br /><br />”I think we will see the same pattern in other parts<br />of the world, because we’re talking about keystone<br />species such as mussels and limpets and barnacles<br />being lost as pH drops,” said Dr Hall-Spencer.<br /><br />The IPCC suggests that some areas, notably the<br />Southern Ocean, might feel the impacts at lower<br />concentrations of CO2.<br /><br />Last month, scientists reported that water with<br />CO2 levels high enough to be “corrosive” to marine<br />life was rising up off the western US coast.<br /><br />Bottom water naturally contains more CO2 than at<br />shallower depths. This scientific team argues<br />that human emissions have pushed these levels<br />even higher, contributing to pH values as low 7.5<br />in waters heavily used by US fishermen.<br /><br />”If [pH 7.8] is a universal ‘tipping point’, then<br />it indicates that sections of the western coast<br />waters off North America may have passed this<br />threshold during periods when this upwelling of<br />waters high in CO2 occurs,” commented Carol Turley<br />from Plymouth Marine Laboratory (PML), who was not<br />involved in the Mediterranean Sea study (PML is<br />not affiliated with Plymouth University).<br /><br />Organisms such as coral are also damaged by rising<br />temperatures, and studies are ongoing into the<br />combined effect of a warming and acidifying ocean.<br /><br />Seagrasses were among the few beneficiaries of<br />more acid waters. There is much to learn. And<br />during the coming week, scientists will announce<br />the inauguration of the European Project on Ocean<br />Acidification (Epoca), a four-year, 16m euro (£12.5m)<br />initiative aiming to find some answers.<br /><br />Studying the impacts may prove easier than doing<br />anything about them.<br /><br />”The reason that the oceans are becoming more acidic<br />is because of the CO2 emissions that we are producing<br />from burning fossil fuels,” observed Dr Turley.<br /><br />”Add CO2 to seawater and you get carbonic acid;<br />it’s simple chemistry, and therefore certain.<br /><br />”This means that the only way of reducing the future<br />impact of ocean acidification is the urgent,<br />substantial reduction in CO2 emissions.”<br /><br />According to Dr. Young, “ocean acidification is<br />the macro view of our oceans becoming sick and tired<br />and the primary causative factor in global warming.<br />The death and extinction of marine life is the result<br />of this acidification which can be prevented with<br />alkalizing measures.”<br /><br />”Body acidification is the micro view of our<br />internal oceans becoming sick and tired and the<br />primary causative factor in body warming or<br />all sickness and dis-ease. The death and extinction<br />of the human race will be a result of an over-<br />acidification of the blood and tissues due to an<br />inverted way of living, eating and thinking. This<br />is what scientist have determined happened to the<br />extinction of the Mayan Race. We can prevent all<br />sickness and dis-ease (cancer, heart dis-ease,<br />diabetes, etc.) and the potential extinction of<br />the human race by learning how to maintain the<br />alkaline design of our body. These life changing<br />and life saving principals are taught in our<br />pH Miracle books, DVD’s and CD’s.”<br /><br />To learn how to maintain the alkaline design<br />of the body and prevent sickness and<br />dis-ease go to:<br /><br />http://www.phmiracleliving.com/books.htm<br />http://www.phmiracleliving.com/audios.htm<br />http://www.phmiracleliving.com/videos.htm</div></span><div class=”blogger-post-footer”>Are you part of our healthy alkaline community? Our floor soon transitioned to the “cancer” ward or oncology department. In the space of two years, I admitted people who had pink cheeks and looked mostly healthy, and were full of hope that no matter what they had to endure with chemotherapy and radiation, they would emerge fully whole and resume their lives cancer free. There was a young boy with a brain tumor that caused frequent seizures; there was a retired nurse; and there was a young guy with a beautiful wife who had just recently given birth to their first baby girl. This particular guy waited all day for the doctor to bring him the results of his lung scan. As I was getting ready to leave after working 3-11pm, his doctor finally swoops in and tells me to get his chart and accompany him. We walk to the end of the hall and enter the patients room, and this doctor tells the patient, “You have terminal cancer. I’ll send the oncologist to see you tomorrow.” And he walks out. That was it. I left for home minutes later, still in shock, down the same hallway, passing by his door. He was just sitting there on the side of the bed. I walked in and asked him if he was going to call his wife because she had been there earlier, anxiously waiting with him, but had to get home to take care of the baby. He said, “No, I think I’ll wait until tomorrow. She needs her sleep.” I offered to sit with him but he said, “Thanks, I’ll be okay.” It was a scene often repeated.<br /><br />How could he be okay? <i style=”font-weight: bold; “>I wasn’t okay.</i> I went home and thought about him all night. I thought about the injustice of waiting all day for a doctor who had the compassion of a rock. I thought about his sweet wife and how happy they had been earlier that evening, talking about their new baby. His new baby. And I cried for them.<br /><br />I cried for all of them. Because they were the kindest, sweetest, most decent people. They were never the demanding patients. I held their hands through painful treatments, I held their heads through unbearable sickness, but mostly I watched these beautiful souls slowly become the grey, fragile shadows that cancer and chemotherapy leave behind. The healthy pink colored faces, so full of hope initially, slowly fading to gaunt grey skin stretched over bone. One of my patients went quickly. As I walked in to give him his medication, he grabbed my arm and looked into my eyes and pleaded with me, “Help me.” But he started forcefully bleeding from his mouth and nose and it was determined that his carotid artery had ruptured. He had been receiving radiation and there was nothing I (or the code team) could do. When someone looks in your eyes and asks you to help them, but all you can do is hold their hand and watch them die, you never forget it. It changes you forever. Trust me. “Don’t get attached. Keep your professional distance,” my wise, well meaning, older nurses advised me, trying to protect me from letting it “get to me.”<br /><br />Sorry girls, <i style=”font-weight: bold; “>no can do.</i> And any nurse that tells you they can, is in the wrong profession. It’s one thing if you work on a maternity floor and everyone goes home with a baby, a cool little hat, and a token washtub. But how can you justify the fact that you are repeatedly putting chemicals used in warfare into people and telling them that it will make them better? <i style=”font-weight: bold; “> </i>I could no longer be a part of something I didn’t<b><i> believe </i></b>to be true. I had to get out before I was required to become certified to give chemotherapy.<br /><br />Nurses are trained to make careful observations, and there is no mistaking the look of cancer. And fear. And quiet resignation. And battle fatigue. Quality of life traded for quantity. Faces that became etched in my memory. There was one woman who I admitted who refused treatment. She stood out from everyone else because she had the most unusual orange color. She explained to me that she was only there for tests and she was headed to California to work with a doctor who believed in juicing to heal cancer naturally. She told me everyone thought she was crazy, but she had watched her mother die a slow and painful death from cancer and chemotherapy treatment, and she refused to do the same. If she was going down, she was going down kicking and screaming, not drugged out and defenseless! She refused to eat anything but raw food (mostly carrots) which explained her unique color. The oncologist and most nurses thought she was just “out there.” But her valid research intrigued me. She was absolutely certain that she could heal herself naturally with juicing. Her absolute <i style=”font-weight: bold; “>belief</i> and conviction resonated with me. And her un-waivering faith. She asked me to pray with her and I asked her to keep in touch; and I told her I would continue to pray for her and I <b><i>believed</i></b> if anyone could beat it, she could. And she did. Cancer free.<br /><br />Years later, I was teaching a Nursing Skills lab at a local community college and working for an orthopedic surgeon. Eventually I was working 12-16 hours daily at the office and had to give up teaching. I absolutely loved my job, my co-workers and my boss! I had a cool sports car (300Z), my first house, money in the bank, and I was the personal assistant to a prominent orthopedic doctor who trusted me to write his orders and fill in for him in his absence. Life was good! But the hours were crazy. I never knew when I was going to get home or how long I would be there before I would get called back to the hospital to make rounds with my boss. Many times I would tell my husband I would meet him for dinner, and not get home until midnight. He wasn’t a fan. Or I would get a call at 11pm from my boss, usually with a mouth full of popcorn, asking me to pick him up at 5am to make rounds before he went to surgery and I went to the office. You had to know him. We all loved him. But I was getting tired. And he got called to Active Duty and closed his practice.<br /><br />A friend of mine gave me a bottle of an herbal preparation called “KM” that was formulated by<a href=”http://www.aimtobehealthy.com/Matol_karl_Jurak.htm” style=”text-decoration: none; color: rgb(204, 51, 0); “> Dr. Karl Jurak</a> for his own specific health challenges in 1922 and distributed by <a href=”http://www.matolbotanical.com/” style=”text-decoration: none; color: rgb(204, 51, 0); “>Matol Botanical </a>. I began researching each individual herb that was in the preparation. I have this insatiable hunger for knowledge and understanding. There was no internet, no instant search engines–just bookstores. I bought a book and listed every property of each herb in the formula. It was an amazing botanical preparation. I traveled half way across the country to meet Dr. Karl and hear his story. He had been working on his Doctoral Thesis in Botanicals when he came up with this formula to purify his blood so that he could climb the Australian Alps without becoming short of breath. For Karl, climbing the Alps meant that you tethered yourself to some friends and if one of you became weak and slipped, you risked the lives of the others. And Karl had done that and didn’t want it to happen again and endanger his friends. He had been sharing his preparation for many years and helped thousands of people feel better. The more I learned, the more I knew that the body would heal itself if given the proper nutrition. Dr. Karl was a brilliant scientist, a warm humanitarian, and a kind, caring man.<br /><br />My neighbor at the time, was your typical sitcom busybody. She was so crippled with arthritis that she would drive across the city street from her driveway to mine to keep me updated on the neighborhood gossip. I kept telling her about KM and how much it could help her with all her ailments and she kept telling me how much her knees hurt and the cost of all her medications. One day when I was going to work, she honked the horn and blocked my driveway and rolled down her window. “Are you a nurse?” she asked. I laughed and said, “Yes, why?” She said, “I just thought you were a quack or a hippie or something, always trying to sell me that herby stuff!” And she drove off.<br /><br />She wasn’t alone. Most people thought I was crazy. But I was so excited to find such a great product based upon <b><i>good science </i></b>that I would tell everyone and go on and on and on . . . .<br /><br />Because to me, it was like finding gold in my backyard. And I wanted to share it with my family and friends. So I’d be like, “Hey, I found gold in my backyard! Come over and you can dig up as much as you want!” And my family would be like, “Uh, I have to work.” And my friends would be like, “Uh, I don’t have a shovel.” And I learned a valuable lesson. <b><i>You can’t want something for someone more than they want it for themselves. </i></b><br /><b><i><br /></i></b>In the year 2000, in a small town called “Lone Pine” on the way home from a funeral, I listened to <a href=”http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3D1MX_omGEotw%26feature%3Drelated&amp;h=9AQFZy_XY” style=”text-decoration: none; color: rgb(204, 51, 0); “>Tony Robbins</a> talk about green drinks, <a href=”http://www.phmiracleliving.com/” style=”text-decoration: none; color: rgb(204, 51, 0); “>Dr. Robert Young</a>, and <a href=”http://www.phmiracleliving.com/t-MICROSCOPY-COURSE.aspx” style=”text-decoration: none; color: rgb(204, 51, 0); “>Live Blood Microscopy.</a><br /><br />This was the defining moment, the catalyst of transformation, right there on Interstate 79, in Lone Pine, Pennsylvania. Well that didn’t work . .<br /><br />So I figured I must have some purpose for being here. I started praying in a different way. I have prayed the same prayer ever since. I have asked for signs and validation so many times that I sometimes wonder if a lightening bolt and a personal “<b>Here’s your sign</b>” might be headed my way! I don’t believe in coincidences, because I believe everything happens for a reason. But I do believe in “<i style=”font-weight: bold; “>Synchronous Events” </i>which Dr. Siegel calls “God’s way of being anonymous.” And a Divine Hand was definitely guiding me toward natural healing. In “Physician in Transition,” Peter Albright (1989) describes synchronous events like a “string of beads.” At the time these events happen, they don’t seem like steps in a process; but as you look back, you can string them together like a necklace.<br /><br />In his book, “<a href=”http://www.amazon.com/Recovery-Sacred-Carlos-Warter/dp/tags-on-product/1558743138″ style=”text-decoration: none; color: rgb(204, 51, 0); “>The Recovery of the Sacred</a>,” Dr. Carlos Warter states, “When these events occur, we embark in search of our individual truth.
